Indian Banks and Stressed Assets

India Banks seem to be severely stressed out on the credit portfolio: Beginning from Kingfisher to SpiceJet to Bhushan Steels huge amounts seem to have potential to snowball into a massive quantum of non performing assets. This will seriously affect the credit portfolio. There appears to have been name lending rather than real credit appraisal.
Wonder where the monitors are? Risk Mitigants?
