Greece is strategic to Europe.It is geopolitically significant- it is also proximate to Africa lying just on top. So an entry to Europe via Greece for China may be economically , politically and strategically good for China but not advisable for Europe, in particular for France and Germany.
So the leakage of a tele-conversation of probable links with China could have strategic implications and not in the interests of Germany. So Germany will threaten but finally dialogue with Greece for a solution.
